The two sculptures you see above are made from a single metal sawmill blade. All of the cutting is hand done and each piece is unique and never replicated. Many of my pieces are made from found objects which I transform and re-purpose.

My metal art explores the beauty of positive and negative space. Lao Tzu speaks eloquently about the importance of
negative space:
"Thirty spokes share the hub of a wheel;
yet it is its center that makes it useful.
You can mould clay into a vessel;
yet, it is its emptiness that makes it useful.
Cut doors and windows from the walls of a house;
but the ultimate use of the house will depend
on that part where nothing exists.
Therefore, something is shaped into what is;
but its usefulness comes from what its not."
My sculptures are in public, private, and corporate collections throughout the United States including:

  • Overland Park City Hall, Kansas
  • Tryon International Equestrian Center, Mill Spring, NC
  • Hampton Inn, Roanoke, VA
  • Memorial Sloan Kettering on Long Island, NY
  • Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN
  • Bacharach Institute for Rehabilitation in Pomona, NJ
  • North Carolina Arboretum, Asheville, NC
  • Shire Pharmaceuticals, PA
  • Kennedy Health Systems, Washington Township, NJ
  • Snowbird Mountain Lodge, Robbinsville, TN

My goal is to create art which connects with people and brings them joy. I believe my sculpture could be a wonderful
addition to your project or collection.
